01/10/05 Progress update
After receiving several requests, Debbie has finally penned a prequel to her popular story, "Midnight at Waverly Hills." Check the Fiction/Horror section soon to read "One Last Night at Waverly Hills." Romance readers will be happy to know that she has begun another novel entitled "Fall of a Happy Spinster." Check back this spring for excerpts under Fiction/Romance.

Due to the editor's illness, the August '04 issue of Dark Moon Rising was cancelled. You can check out Debbie's story, "Little White Casket," in the October issue instead. In the meantime, please visit DMR to vote for your favorite writers, who will be included in the upcoming Best of Anthology.

08/13/04 to 08/15/04: Horrorfind Weekend
The horror convention held in Hunt Valley, Maryland turned out to be a tremendous amount of fun for Debbie and her writer pal, Nicole Cushing. The girls met up with publishers, editors, actors, and horror fans galore. An interesting, worthwhile experience all the way around.

07/22/04: Local Barnes & Noble signing
Deb's signing at the Summit's Barnes and Noble went well. She would like to thank the members of the Louisville Romance Writers for turning out in force to show their support.

A live 30 minute radio interview with Tim Renshaw of KGLO in Iowa has been scheduled for Debbie on November 26, 2003, at 3:30 EST. The show will be broadcast on four different radio stations over the Thanksgiving weekend.

07/16/03: New webzine to publish "Little White Casket"
31 Eyes Fantasy/Horror Webzine has accepted Debbie's short story, "Little White Casket." The supernatural tale is set to appear in their premiere issue on July 31. 06/12/03: "What Happened in the Cellar," Published Online
The Writer's Room Magazine, an online publication founded in Denmark, has accepted Debbie's short story, "What Happened in the Cellar," and will include it in their June 15 edition. 5/27/03: Watch for "Mason's Will"
Be on the lookout for Debbie's romantic adventure novel, "Mason's Will," which should be released by PublishAmerica late this year. The official publication date will soon be announced.

Debbie's short ghost story, "Flower Girl," appeared online in the March edition of The Writer's Hood and will be archived there until August, if you'd care to check it out. You can read an excerpt under the Horror section.

5/18/03: Keeping you up to date
Debbie has submitted several short stories this spring (including the ones on this site) to magazines nationwide and is waiting to hear back from them. Unfortunately, writers have to cultivate patience above all things. Sometimes it takes up to six months to get a reply. Wish her luck!
